Over the last 10 years the Halse Village Hall has undergone major refurbishment. The Village Hall Committee together with a dedicated team of volunteers have organised various fundraising events over the years, and applied for local authority and lottery grants. This funding has been put towards the upgrading of the kitchen facilities, improving the heating arrangements, creating a patio area, improving the gardens, painting, decorating and generally ensuring the Village Hall is kept in good repair.
The Committee would like to take this opportunity of thanking all villagers and friends who have supported their efforts over the last 10 years with these improvement plans.
The Village Hall is used regularly by the Garden Club, Parish Council, Art Group, Pantomime Group, and the Yoga Class. If you wish to book the Village Hall for a private function, please contact the Bookings Secretary.
Enquiries for the hire of equipment for private functions outside the Village Hall have resulted in the purchase of additional crockery, cutlery and glasses, together with tables and chairs and gazebos. All these items are available to hire via the Bookings Secretary.
Now the major refurbishment programme is completed, the fundraising events organised by the Committee have reduced in number to four major events per year:
Various other events take place at the Village Hall through the year, for example Take Art returned on 14th November 2006 with Dog Days Lion Nights by Ben Osborne and The Pantomime Group’s first production was performed on 1st and 2nd December 2006.
